We encourage every pilot to participate in the Pilot Proficiency
Wings Program. for
those who have already completed the first six phases of the program,
phase seven,
eight, nine and ten are now available. Any category of aircraft
may be used for the
program. To participate, you must hold a private, commercial,
or airline transport pilot
certificate, attend one safety seminar, and complete three hours
of flight training in the
specified areas. For more information, ask for a copy of Advisory
Circular 61-91H or attend any safety seminar.
A large selection of pamphlets, slides, films and videos on every
aspect of aviation
safety is available to the public free of charge. List of
films and materials are also
available on request.
There are Aviation Safety Counselors based at many of the airports
in Arkansas.
Counselor may provide advice, give courtesy proficiency flights,
help organize safety seminars, and provide guidance in filing Safety Improvement
Reports.
